2014 Registration

Registration for our 2014 sideline season runs from March 1st - April 25th. Late registrations will be accepted through May 9th, but will incur a $20 late fee. Due to the custom uniform and the time it takes th make them, we cannot accept registration past the unform fitting nights.

You can print the 2014 Registration Forms and mail them, or turn them in at our Open House on April 17th

Scholarship Applications are now available. Please complete the 2014 Scholarship Application and return no later than April 25th, 2014. We have a limited amount of scholarships available, and application is not a guarantee of receiving a scholarship. We do our best to make sure that all who wish to participate within our program are able to do so. There are multiple fundraising opportunities available as well and in order to be eligible for a scholarship, fundraising participation is required.  Scholarships will be reviewed and awards determined by the SYC Board of Directors and applicatants will be notified of their status prior to uniform fittings. Please be aware that the applications must be received no later than April 25th. It is also understood that each family receiving a scholarship will complete a sepcified number of volunteer hours during the sideline season. If you have any questions please contact our presidents at

Fundraising Opportunities

Current Fundraiser: 


Individual fundraising for the 2014 sideline season will begin on April 9th with our Pastry sales. Please contact our fundraising coordinator Julie Terry for further information, or you can pick up fundraising forms at our Open House on April 17th. Individual fundraising with SYC is completely optional, although we do occasionally have team fundraising in the fall, families will have a 'buy out' option available for team fundraisers if they so choose. However,  fundraising is mandatory for any scholarship recipient. Any application received without fundraising participation will be deemed ineligible. Please check back for dates. If interested in participating in fundraisng for the 2014 Season you can email and when it is announced our fundraising coordinator will email you. Thank you to all those who help support our participating athletes. 

We would like to thank Wilson Orthodontics for partnering with Sherwood Youth Cheer to help keep costs to our families as low as possible. With Dr. Wilson's generous support of our program we are able to offer scholarships allowing more athletes to participate!

  • Uniform fees will cover the shell, skirt, slimmer, spankies, warm up jacket & pants, bow and a practice t-shirt. 
  • White sneakers & white no-show socks are also required and are not part of the uniform package therefore, must be purchased by the family. Any all-white athletic shoes are acceptable, however they must  contain *no metal* on them at all due to OSAA rules. (this includes the eyelets where they lace, any metal tabs on the laces, in the toes etc.)

While we understand that unforseen circumstances and conflicts arise, we are unable to issue any refunds once unform fittings have occured as this is when the order is placed. Any refunds prior to the unform fittings will need to be made through our presidents at



ACT is open to all registered cheerleaders. ACT is a class taught at our partner gym Oregon Dream Teams in Beaverton. Classes are held Tuesdays & Thursdays the dates, times and cost schedule for our 2014 ACT classes will be announced soon. ACT classes focus on stunting, jumps and skill building. Any athlete wishing to participate should contact Val or Kerri at  The cost is for 2014 is TBA, athletes can join at any time during the month, however, prorating is not available. 



Competition Team

Our 2013-2014 Competition Team season has ended. The 2014 Competition Team details will be announced once summer practices for all cheerleaders are underway in August. Athletes entering grades 5-8 are eligible for the competition team, athletes entering grades 3 & 4 are by invitation only. There is a maximum of 36 athletes who are able to participate on the competition team. In the past we have not had more than this register, however if this occurs, try-outs are a possiblity.
